"Hi, I’m Ivanna Aponte, Assistant Director at Kiddie Academy of Carmel-Westfield. Originally from Venezuela, I bring both heart and purpose to my role, with over three years of hands-on experience in early childhood education. I began my journey here as a teacher and have grown professionally while staying true to my passion for nurturing young children. I’m fully bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps me connect with families from diverse backgrounds and ensure everyone feels welcomed, informed, and supported. I believe that a high-quality early education environment is built on empathy, clear communication, and strong collaboration. Outside of work, I love reading, dancing, and spending time with my family. Mrs. Smita Singh is a dedicated middle school biology teacher with over a decade of classroom experience and three years in educational management. She holds a Master’s degree in Zoology with a specialization in Fisheries, blending academic depth with a passion for inspiring young minds. A proud mother to a teenage daughter, Smita brings empathy, creativity, and curiosity into every aspect of her life. Outside the classroom, she’s a lifelong learner who enjoys canvas painting, sculpting, poetry, reading, and traveling. She also holds a diploma in yoga and lives by the philosophy of karma—believing that every action shapes the future. Smita’s holistic approach to education encourages students to explore, question, and grow—not just academically, but personally. Her mission is to nurture a love for science while fostering resilience, imagination, and kindness in the next generation.
