For more than 40 years, Kiddie Academy has focused on maintaining steady growth to ensure that each and every Academy in our network gets enough individualized support to truly thrive. As a result, our 350th franchise location has officially opened in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Lancaster residents Cassie and Austin Fenerty, who own and operate the new Academy, made the decision to franchise with Kiddie Academy having no prior experience as entrepreneurs. They saw a gap in the market for high-quality child care in their community and felt passionate about making a change. This strong desire to impact the lives of children, as well as their local community, is what motivated them to take their first step toward ownership. On June 7, 2025, they opened their doors.
“We chose to open Kiddie Academy of Lancaster because we saw a true need for child care that nurtures the whole child — academically, socially and emotionally,” said Cassie Fenerty. “We’re not just a place for children to be cared for — we’re a place where they are known, challenged and celebrated.”
Kiddie Academy of Lancaster features 11 classrooms and a spacious playground with barn and farmer’s market play structures reflecting the larger farming community in the area. The new Academy is licensed to serve 160 children and employs 25 educators and is located at 251 South Centerville Road.
